Kuchaman City is a municipal council and the district headquarters of Kuchaman district, located in the urban region of central-west Rajasthan, India. Earlier Kuchaman used to come in Nagaur district but on 4 August 2023, it was separated from Nagaur district and declared as Didwana-Kuchaman district, the 38th district of Rajasthan state. On 06 October 2023, Kuchaman district was proposed as the 53rd district. It is the largest city in the new Kuchaman district.
The city also includes many havelis in Shekhawati and Marwari style and an attractive fort in the city. The fresco paintings here depict flowers, motifs and Hindu mythology. The fort is a major tourist attraction and is also part of the Palace on Wheels route.
Kuchaman is a major education center of the state for schooling, defense and competitive exam preparation. There are many coaching pre-engineering and pre-medical institutes here. The city is known as Shiksha Nagari (City of Education).
